Took my firts test shots today.
Today I went out and got myself a new set of 100% cotton king size black sheet set at Kohls. If it turns out that I suck at this photography thing, then at least I'll have a new set of sheets for the bed. And it only cost me 1/3 of the price of the locally stocked muslins! Other nice things to it is that, it came with 2 smaller backdrops (the pillow cases), and since this is a sheet set, I got 2 very large backdrops
After hours of driving around, I finally found some statues at Home Goods store. Very limited selection of human figure statues and pretty much none of them are nude. It seems the entire Boston area has gone 100% PC. Anyway, I got the only one that could be considered partially nude in the entire store.
The shots are low key taken with a home depot $12 250W halogem worklight hanging from the kitchen cabinet's door. Hey, I had to start somewhere, the camera already took most of my budget.
In the near future I'd like to get a strobe though. I think that for my purposes, a 150WS should do since I have very little room and it would be very close to the model. I'll investigate more before I buy anything.
Anyway, the shots have been uploaded, they're the ones called "First Test Shot 0X" (where X is a number, duh!).
